PrimeFlight Cargo has achieved recertification under IATA's CEIV Pharma programme for its operations at Miami International Airport, reports London's Air Cargo News.

The Texas-based aircraft services company met around 275 audit requirements, confirming its ability to safely handle, store and transport temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.

Certification requires strict compliance with temperature control, risk management, quality assurance and regulatory standards. PrimeFlight implemented new procedures, training programmes, emergency response plans and equipment maintenance protocols.

Senior vice president Shawnpaul Booth said the recertification reflects the highest standards in pharmaceutical cargo handling and reinforces the company's commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.

The initiative was led by senior general manager Sergio Roa and quality control analyst Vivian Ipina Mekin, supported by nearly 160 team members. Office manager Viviana Davis coordinated infrastructure readiness with guidance from vice president Andres GonzalezBse.

PrimeFlight last year acquired StratAir's cargo handling operations at Miami, Richmond and San Juan, further expanding its footprint in pharmaceutical and specialised cargo services.
