ESBAAR has begun drone-based air cargo operations for Oman's oil and gas industry, cutting delivery times and enabling round-the-clock logistics, reports Dubai's Logistics Middle East.(ESBAAR is the name of an Omani drone and artificial intelligence solutions company. It is not an acronym, but a brand name chosen to represent its advanced air mobility and drone cargo operations.)

The service entered deployment after initial flights with Masar Petroleum using locally manufactured drones from SINAN Advanced Industries. The first mission transported spare parts 137 km in one hour and 23 minutes, compared with more than four hours by road.

ESBAAR said aerial transport removes constraints linked to road logistics, especially at night when vehicle movement is restricted. The system supports time-critical maintenance and emergency response by ensuring continuous logistics.

Co-founder Malik Al Toubi said the launch reflects a commitment to domestic manufacturing, Omani talent and collaboration with industry partners to integrate drone technologies.

Masar Petroleum production supervisor Eng. Yahya Al Yaqubi said the service improves efficiency and safety, reducing downtime and accelerating emergency response. The company is the first in Oman to deploy drone cargo in active operations.

ESBAAR said the model can scale to other sectors through dedicated aerial corridors linking sites. The company plans to expand locally and regionally, supporting Vision 2040 goals to advance knowledge-based industries and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.
