Asian airlines hail strong November cargo growth

Asia-Pacific airlines carried 32.9 million international passengers in November, up 8.3 per cent year on year, with cargo traffic also rising, reported the Manila's Standard Business.
The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines said demand measured in revenue passenger kilometres grew nine per cent, outpacing an eight per cent increase in seat capacity. The average international passenger load factor rose to 83.2 per cent.
Cargo demand increased 6.2 per cent, driven by export activity in Southeast Asia and India, as well as e-commerce and inventory restocking. Freight capacity rose 7.2 per cent, trimming the load factor to 61.9 per cent.
Subhas Menon, AAPA director general, said leisure and business travel boosted passenger demand, with international traffic up 10 per cent in the first 11 months of 2025 to 355 million passengers.
Mr Menon added that cargo demand rose 5.6 per cent over the same period as supply chains shifted toward Asian
