Ukrainian ports lift 82m tons in '25

Ukrainian seaports moved 82.2 million tons of cargo in 2025, achieving more than 95 per cent of the planned turnover, reported Kiev's GMK Centre.
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development said the forecast of 81.77 million tons was exceeded, with actual throughput reaching 100.5 per cent of expectations.
Agricultural products accounted for 44.2 million tons, or 53.7 per cent of the total. Container traffic rose sharply, with ports handling 215,748 TEU compared with 129,902 TEU in 2024, a 66 per cent increase.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said seaports continue to operate under constant threat but remain vital to the economy. Ukrainian goods were exported to 55 countries during the year.
Ukraine's seaports handled 18.5 million tons of ore cargo in 2024. Total turnover reached a record 97.2 million tons last year, up from 62 million tons in 2023, with exports amounting to 88.1 million tons.
Ukraine's trade turnover in January-December 2025 stood at US$125.1 billion. Imports were valued at $84.8 billion, while exports reached $40.3 billion.
