Global electric vehicle sales in November grew at the slowest pace since February 2024 as China's market stalled, reported Reuters.

Of the 1.98 million EVs sold worldwide in November, 1.32 million were in China, the data showed. Global EV registrations, a proxy for sales, rose by 6 per cent to just under two million units.

In China, registrations increased by three per cent to more than 1.3 million, marking the lowest year-on-year growth since February 2024. The country accounts for more than half of global EV sales.

Analysts said reduced government subsidies near the end of the year are expected to weigh on consumer sentiment in China, the world's largest car market.
