Bringer Air Cargo has operated the first international wide-body freighter to land directly at Navegantes Airport in southern Brazil, reported Mumbai's Stat Trade Times.
The Boeing 767-300F arrived on 26 November, marking a milestone for the airport and strengthening trade links between the United States and Santa Catarina, a key industrial and import hub. Bringer will begin with weekly flights, expanding to three or four services as demand grows.
The project began in 2019 but was delayed by the pandemic and regulatory hurdles. Bringer, working with its consulting team, carried out technical, safety and infrastructure studies that led to upgrades at Navegantes, including a runway extension of 100 metres, widening of the emergency lane by 45 metres and improvements to maneuvering and parking areas.
The inaugural flight was operated on a LATAM Airlines Boeing 767-300F under Bringer's cargo programme, with a payload capacity of up to 50 tons. The project involved coordination between Bringer Air Cargo, Motiva Airports and PACLOG Cargo Terminals to secure approvals.
Bringer Air Cargo, part of the Bringer Corporation Group founded in 1983, is a member of the International Clearing House and has built a reputation over 40 years for reliable global air cargo solutions.
The company said the new Miami-Navegantes route reflects its commitment to connecting markets efficiently and creating new trade opportunities for Brazil's fastest-growing import region. It expands Bringer's presence in one of the country's most dynamic logistics corridors, reinforcing its role in supporting global supply chains with scalable air freight services.
