Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo have launched a new strategic partnership to strengthen synergies and deliver greater value to customers, reported Mumbai's STAT Trade Times.

Both divisions of the Lufthansa Group will continue operating under their brands while aligning more closely to meet industry shifts.

Over the coming months, the two organisations will harmonise services, shipment flows and operational procedures, creating one face to the customer with a unified market approach. They will also adopt a single IT platform to enhance efficiency.

Alain Chisari, head of Swiss WorldCargo, said the cooperation builds on complementary strengths and shared values. He added the partnership will shape the future of specialised and premium air cargo services across their combined network.

Swiss WorldCargo focuses on high-value, time-critical freight using belly capacity across more than 130 destinations, while Lufthansa Cargo offers both belly and freighter capacity with a broad global network and strong digitalisation.

Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, said the deeper cooperation will give customers access to one of the industry's widest networks and product portfolios. He added the alignment strengthens Lufthansa Group's mission of connecting people, cultures and economies sustainably.
