Foreign purchases of Chinese equities have reached their highest level in four years, reported London's Financial Times. Offshore inflows from January to October amounted to US$50.6 billion, sharply higher than $11.4 billion in 2024, according to the Institute of International Finance.

Chinese stocks listed on the mainland and in Hong Kong have rallied this year, fueled by investor enthusiasm for artificial intelligence after the release of DeepSeek's model and a surge of listings in Asia's financial hub.

The rebound follows years of poor returns, when foreign investors cut holdings amid concerns over slowing economic growth and rising tensions between Washington and Beijing.
