Air cargo operations have restarted at Donyi Polo Airport in Itanagar after a temporary suspension, bringing relief to traders and exporters in Arunachal Pradesh, reports New Delhi's India Today.

Services were halted following the shift of flight operations to the airport's newly inaugurated terminal building. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security granted approval for resumption, with directives issued to the airport director and IndiGo Services Manager.

The suspension had caused logistical difficulties for the Department of Trade and Commerce and several MSMEs, particularly in preparing consignments for the India International Trade Fair in New Delhi from November 14-27.

Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja pressed for immediate restoration, and his intervention led to security clearance being granted. Airport director P Narendra confirmed IndiGo Airlines has completed arrangements and cargo services are now operational.

The resumption is expected to strengthen trade connectivity and ensure timely movement of goods, enhancing Arunachal Pradesh's participation in national and international markets.
