Geely-owned Chinese electric vehicle maker Zeekr has begun sales in Germany of three models priced from EUR37,990 (US$44,065), reported Reuters. Chinese automakers are pushing into Europe, aiming to leverage competitive pricing and advanced technology to challenge established European and American brands amid the global shift to electric mobility.

Zeekr is targeting premium retail buyers along with medium-sized fleets, large corporate operators and car rental firms, according to Europe chief executive Lothar Schupet, who spoke to Elektroauto-News.

Mr Schupet said demand is strong, with several DAX-listed companies and major leasing firms awaiting deliveries. He cited partnerships with BNP Paribas and Arval to support corporate offers.
