Jettainer and IBS Software have announced a strategic partnership to integrate their cargo and unit load device (ULD) management platforms, aiming to streamline air cargo operations, reports Wisconsin's Aviation Pros.

The agreement will connect Jettainer's JettWareNG system with IBS Software's iCargo and iPartner Handling platforms via an API interface. Initial integration capabilities are expected by late 2025.

The companies said the collaboration will improve planning efficiency, automate ULD positioning and move orders, and support data-driven decision-making for airlines and ground handlers.

The integration will also enhance transparency by enabling ULD tracking data - such as location and availability - to be shared using the ONE Record data standard.

Future development will focus on deeper system integration, allowing customers to access both platforms through a single interface and eliminating the need to operate multiple systems.

Jettainer CEO Dr Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt said the partnership marks a key step in the company's digital strategy. Radhesh Menon of IBS Software added that the collaboration will help develop advanced tools to boost competitiveness across the air cargo sector.
