Freightos has partnered with China's Megacap Aviation Service to provide digital booking access to 13 airlines for more than 5,000 freight forwarders using its WebCargo platform, reported the Malaysian Reserve.

The agreement begins with Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest cargo operator, and will expand to carriers across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. The move strengthens Freightos' role in delivering transparency and instant access to rates and capacity.

Megacap Aviation, a leading general sales agent in China, represents multiple international carriers and streamlines their sales operations. The integration offers real-time access to Ethiopian Airlines' capacity and pricing, followed by other carriers such as Aeromexico.

Freightos chief executive Zvi Schreiber said the partnership combines best-of-breed capacity options to make global trade more efficient and accessible. He added that forwarders will gain seamless digital access to carriers, extending capacity from Asia to enterprise shippers.

Megacap managing director Jerry Xu said the collaboration will advance digital distribution in emerging markets from Asia to Latin America and Africa. He noted that clients will benefit from real-time logistics prices, instant booking and full visibility, with AI operations enhancing airline services.

Freightos, listed on Nasdaq, connects airlines, ocean carriers, freight forwarders and importers through its booking platform. Its suite of products includes Freightos Enterprise, Freightos Marketplace and WebCargo, supported by industry data such as the Freightos Air Index and Freightos Baltic Index.
