Edinburgh's Menzies Aviation has unveiled MILE (Menzies Integrated Logistics for E-Commerce), a new platform designed to streamline e-commerce air cargo operations through enhanced integration and digitalisation, reported Wisconsin's Aviation Pros.

Developed with Air Menzies International, MILE merges Menzies' global cargo handling network with AMI's forwarding expertise to offer end-to-end logistics for airlines, freight forwarders, and e-commerce clients.

The platform features priority cargo handling, faster customs clearance, and real-time tracking across all shipment stages. It is supported by dedicated air capacity and flexible operating models to manage peak volumes efficiently.

MILE runs on Menzies' MACH cargo management system, using automation and data-driven routing to improve shipment control from airside to landside. Tools include barcode tracking, handheld integration, and dedicated e-commerce codes.

Following successful pilot trials in Sydney, Menzies plans to roll out MILE globally from late 2025, backed by strategic airline and forwarding partnerships.

Beau Paine, Executive Vice President Cargo, said the initiative marks a key step in Menzies' digital and operational growth, aiming to deliver faster and scalable services.
