A Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Tuapse oil terminal damaged two foreign vessels and sparked a fire, reported Reuters.
The strike occurred on November 2 and targeted one of Russia's largest Black Sea oil ports. Kiev's General Staff confirmed damage to the Tuapse refinery's infrastructure, including an oil tanker and loading facilities.
Russian authorities said no crew injuries were reported and all fires were extinguished, but terminal buildings and infrastructure sustained damage. Drone debris also hit nearby settlements and the Tuapse railway station.
The Tuapse refinery, operated by Rosneft, processes 240,000 barrels per day and supplies China, Malaysia, Singapore and Turkey. Ukraine has targeted the site multiple times this year.
The Russian Defence Ministry said 283 Ukrainian drones were intercepted. Kiev described the strikes as retaliation for Russian attacks on Ukraine's power grid, which left 60,000 people without electricity in Zaporizhzhia and killed two in Odesa.
The drone attack prompted temporary closures of several Russian airports in the south and west, according to aviation regulator Rosaviatsiya.
