FedEx has introduced a new four-day-a-week 767 service between Dublin and Indianapolis, offering a faster transatlantic link that bypasses congested coastal gateway, according to a company press release.
The new route connects Dublin with FedEx's second-largest hub in Indianapolis, enabling goods to arrive one day faster and supporting industries such as healthcare, high-tech and transportation.
Richard Smith, chief operating officer, international and airline CEO, said the flight reflects the success of FedEx's Tricolor network redesign strategy and strengthens its global air freight capabilities.
Wouter Roels, regional president of FedEx Europe, noted that 68 per cent of Ireland's exports in early 2025 went to the US, led by pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. He called the new flight a milestone for FedEx.
FedEx offers digital tools like Delivery Manager, Import Tools and International Connect Plus to streamline shipping. Its Surround Monitoring suite uses AI for real-time tracking and intervention on high-value shipments.
The flight complements the recent opening of a 16,000-square foot cold chain facility at the Indianapolis hub, featuring three temperature zones and a re-icing room to support sensitive cargo.
