US-based air cargo screening company Global K9 has partnered with Netherlands-headquartered Het Twickelerveld Cargo Screening BV to enhance air cargo security across the Netherlands and Western Europe, reports London's Air Cargo News.

Global K9, known for its canine detection services, appointed Het Twickelerveld to support screening operations in the Netherlands as part of its European expansion. The move follows its acquisition of UK firm Dog Detectives in late 2024.

The partnership covers canine operations, X-ray screening, explosive trace detection and authorised representative services. Global K9 said the collaboration will deliver tailored, compliant solutions for the air cargo sector.

Founder and chief executive Eric Hare said the agreement aims to replicate Global K9's successful US operations in Europe, offering clients the same level of service and strengthening its global presence.

Het Twickelerveld, founded in 2005, specialises in canine training and handling for cargo security. Founder and chief executive Martin Lipsius said the partnership will enhance services and benefit clients across the region.
