Unilode Aviation Solutions has welcomed American Airlines Cargo into its worldwide Unit Load Device (ULD) management and digitalisation network, providing full fleet support and tailored onboarding, reports Singapore's Payload Asia.

Under the partnership, Unilode will manage American Airlines Cargo's entire ULD fleet, delivering repair, maintenance and digital tracking services. A dedicated Customer Success Team has been established in Dallas-Fort Worth and globally to offer 24/7 support.

Unilode conducted roadshows across the US and internationally to train and prepare American Airlines Cargo staff for the transition. The onboarding process was designed to ensure confidence and operational continuity from day one.

Chief operations officer Janis Balkens said the partnership goes beyond ULD management, focusing on trust, tailored solutions and continuous improvement. Unilode aims to deliver value through sustainability and digital innovation.

Sam Mendenhall, vice president of cargo operations at American Airlines Cargo, said Unilode's expertise will help modernise operations and enhance reliability and service for customers.
