Nippon Express has selected Freightos' multimodal pricing and booking Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to support its freight operations across hundreds of offices in 57 countries. The move marks a major expansion of its digital capabilities, reported the Malaysian Reserve.

The NX Group, a top-five global freight forwarder, already uses WebCargo by Freightos for thousands of monthly air bookings. It will now extend Freightos' technology to cover both air and ocean freight.

Freightos handles over 1.5 million bookings annually. Its platform will enable Nippon Express to quote and book faster across transport modes, helping the company respond to shifting trade patterns and customer demands.

The deployment includes API integration with Nippon Express' internal systems and access to Freightos Terminal, a market intelligence tool offering data insights for routing and pricing optimisation.

Ionut Mares, Global Head of Air and Ocean Freight at Nippon Express, said the expansion reimagines freight management and enhances value and efficiency for customers worldwide.

Freightos CEO Zvi Schreiber said the partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward end-to-end digital solutions. Connecting Nippon Express' global network to Freightos' ecosystem will improve agility and customer service.
