UK-BASED Infinity Logistics has become the first logistics firm to be awarded a government-backed award that recognises best practice in payment, reports London's Air Cargo News.

The company was awarded the Fair Payment Code (FPC) Gold Award, which is given to companies that pay at least 95 per cent of all invoices within 30 days and agree to abide by the Code's principles of being "clear, fair and collaborative with their suppliers".

The time-critical logistics firm was launched in 2022 and provides freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, and customised transport solutions.

Explaining why Infinity Logistics Ltd applied to the FPC, co-owned Michael Haskins said: "Having experienced the challenges of late payments ourselves, we understand the strain it can put on businesses - affecting cash flow, growth, and operational stability.

"We've seen firsthand how delayed payments can disrupt supply chains, impact service quality, and create unnecessary financial stress."

He added: "We believe that fair and timely payments are the foundation of strong business relationships.

"We applied for the Fair Payment Code to formalise our commitment to ethical business practices and ensure that our suppliers receive the respect and reliability they deserve."
