US planemaker Boeing is betting on India's booming e-commerce sector to drive growth in the air cargo market, reports NBC News.

As passenger demand slows, the company sees air cargo as a key opportunity, while strengthening its presence through aircraft deliveries and supplier partnerships.

India has set up EFTA (European Free Trade Association) desk to promote trade, investment, biz facilitation.

Boeing vice president Darren Hulst said air cargo traffic is expected to double by 2043, driven by the growth of emerging markets, e-commerce, and shifting global supply chains.

Mr Hulst emphasized that air cargo remains the quickest and most reliable way to move goods, which will continue to fuel its sustained growth
