Turkish Cargo is now offering reservations on its flights to freight forwarder and shipper users of the CargoWise platform, reports London's Air Cargo News.

The airline said that it had added a "direct data connection to the WiseTech-owned cargo management system to provide users with real-time rates, capacity availability and e-reservation.

"The e-reservation integration between CargoWise and Turkish Cargo's management system, COMIS, enables real-time access to air cargo rates, flight availability, and booking confirmations, the airline said in a press release.

"Shippers can easily choose the suitable flights and make bookings with Turkish Cargo, all without leaving the CargoWise platform."

The airline added that the API connection would help eliminate errors caused by manual data entry and make the booking process more transparent.

It also provides Turkish Cargo's customers with real-time communication directly within CargoWise, which includes the ability to modify a booking until final execution of the Master Air Waybill.

The move is not the carrier's first foray into digital booking platforms, it also offers its capacity on WebCargo and on the cargo.one booking portal.
