ALEXANDRIA Container and Cargo Handling Company (ALCN) posted a 95 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit during the three months ending September 30, according to financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), reported Dubai's ZAWYA.

ALCN's net profit after tax surged to EGP1.910 billion (US$38 million) in July-September from EGP979.973 million the year before.

Sales jumped 83per cent year on year to EGP2.013 billion in three months to September 30th from EGP1.102 million a year earlier.
