UNIFEEDER, part of DP World Marine Services, has tripled its market share in the intra-Mediterranean trade sector, reaching 4.3 per cent, reports St Petersburg's Port News.

According to Alphaliner, Unifier recorded the highest capacity growth among carriers in the region, positioning itself among the top six operators by deployed capacity.

The company's Mediterranean fleet now includes 20 container ships with a total capacity of 24,000 TEU, matching Cosco in the region.

In 2024, Unifier introduced seven new intra-Mediterranean services, adding 10,600 TEU capacity and increasing its average vessel size to 1,186 TEU.

These developments enhance regional trade connectivity across the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

The overall intra-Mediterranean trade sector expanded 9.3 per cent, adding 50,000 TEU capacity compared to December 2023.
