GLOBAL provider of freight audit and payment solutions Cass Information Systems (CIS) has acquired ocean and airfreight audit platform AcuAudit from Acuitive Solutions, writes London's Air Cargo News.

AcuAudit is a pre-payment global freight bill audit module that receives data inputs from carriers, 3PLs and forwarders and then automatically validates the correct invoices and isolates discrepancies.

The module prompts carrier self-correction prior to payment and aims to reduce the time and cost of administration.

Missouri, US-based CIS said the platform aims to provide shippers with a "fast and accurate understanding of landed costs at the product level".

He will retain and lead Acuitive as it continues to expand its expedited shipment routing and multi-carrier parcel manifesting solutions for the retail and high fashion industries.
