Atlas Air Worldwide granted injunction against Teamsters slowdown

NASDAQ-LISTED Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings has announced that the company? request for a preliminary injunction against a Teamsters union work slowdown has been granted, reports Miltech (Military Technologies) of Warsaw.
The decision by the US District Court for the District of Columbia requires the Teamsters to meet its obligations under the Railway Labour Act and end its work slowdown.
The court further ordered the Teamsters to prevent further interference with the company operations or engage in any concerted refusal to perform normal pilot operations consistent with the status quo.
Atlas said it continues to negotiate with the Teamsters for a joint contract for Atlas and Southern Air crewmembers in connection with the pending merger.
The company remains committed to completing the bargaining process in a timely manner and in the best interests of all parties.
