SHENZHEN's DaChan Bay Terminals has welcomed the 6,350-TEU Hamburg Bay as the first ship in the extended China Gulf Express (GCX) Service.
DaChan Bay Terminals has added two services to its network covering Asian and the Middle East markets in two months which underpins the importance of its strategic location.
The GCX service is operated by Gold Star Line (GSL), Korea Marine Transport Co (KMTC), Regional Container Lines (RCL), SM Line Corporation (SML) and TS Lines (TSL) with a deployment of six vessels between 5,000 and 6,500 TEU.
The service links emerging markets in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, covering ports along the "Maritime Silk Road", providing faster transit times.
Ships in the GCX Service call at DaChan Bay Terminals every Sunday with port rotation of Shenzhen-DaChan Bay, Port Kelang, Colombo, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Shekou and back to DaChan Bay.
DaChan Bay Terminals is situated in the West Shenzhen Port area in South China. It is the newest international container terminal serving the Pan-Pearl River Delta cargo catchment areas.
