ACS Q3 revenues boosted by income from hurricane response work

BROKER Air Charter Service (ACS) has reported that total revenues increased by 50 per cent to GBP144 million (US$192 million) in the third quarter of the year, with growth across its three main divisions. The company said the Q3 financial performance was also boosted by services provided in response to hurricanes in the US and the Caribbean.
ACS group chief executive Justin Bowman said: "We saw marked increases across our three main divisions of cargo, private jets and commercial aircraft, as well as record performance by our onboard courier team.
"Figures have been slightly inflated by our work in relation to the hurricanes in the US and the Caribbean, for which we arranged more than 150 charters, both passenger evacuations and humanitarian aid."
Mr Bowman added that taking aside the hurricane efforts, the company still arranged more than 4,000 contracts - the equivalent to averaging almost two every hour of each day over the last three months, reports London's Air Cargo News.
"And to reach GBP144 million in one quarter, which is equivalent to almost $190 million, is as remarkable, and another massive step in the direction of our next goal, which is to become a billion dollar company," he added.
The latest results - combined with a record first-half performance of 35 per cent growth in revenue and 17 per cent increase in charter numbers - means that the company surpassed total revenue for last year part-way through October.
"Next year will be an exciting one at ACS. We are looking to open a number of new offices over the next 18 months," said Mr Bowman.
