Asia-Europe rate drops 1pc to US$960/TEU, off 3.5pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday dropped one per cent to US$960 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade fell 2.1 per cent to $957 per TEU. Asia to US west coast decreased 3.5 per cent to $2,039 per FEU while those to the east coast off 1.6 per cent to $3,137 per FEU.
