Foreign investors to gain easier access to Chinese markets: minister

CHINA's Trade Minister Zhong Shan says the Central government will make it easier for foreign investors to access the country's markets, will protect their rights and create a "fair, transparent and predictable business environment".
China would "raise the level of use of foreign investment", Mr Zhong wrote in the latest issue of the Communist Party's theoretical journal Qiushi, reported Reuters.
Foreign business groups in China have warned that overseas companies face an increasingly hostile environment and that Beijing's policies and regulations offer favourable treatment to domestic rivals.
Companies have also expressed concerned about a lack of regulatory transparency, including insufficient protection for intellectual property.
Mr Zhong added that there would be no "stagnation' to Beijing's reform and opening-up process, and vowed China would fully become a strong business and trade country before 2050.
