MEMBERS of the Ocean Alliance - China Cosco Shipping, Evergreen, CMA CGM and OOCL - have commenced a new service that connects India with south east Asia and China, operated by vessels up to 5,500 TEU.
The new service calls at: Visakhapatnam, Port Klang, Singapore, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai and Shekou, reported UK's Container Management.
"The service will not only provide both east and westbound connectivity covering Asia and east India, Far East and other sectors but also offers the customers a competitive price. The availability of two main liners will also give a distinctive advantage to the trade," said Visakhapatnam port chairman Krishna Babu told the Hindu daily of Chennai.
